420ID and What You Need to Know About Recreational vs. Medical Marijuana in Missouri
Missourians voted for the legalization of recreational marijuana. This change only strengthens your rights and protections as a member of the medical marijuana program. Those in the medical program will now have new advantages and benefits, as outlined below.
MISSOURI MEDICAL MARIJUANA IS BETTER THAN EVER
Current Missouri medical marijuana cards are valid for 1 year, but with the passage of amendment 3, new cards will be issued for 3 years. This 3 year license includes those who apply to be cultivators. The state application fee to be a patient will remain the same at approximately $25. The cost to add cultivation application would cut in half from $100 to $50.
420ID’s most popular upgrade, PRO SERVICE where we complete and file your application on your behalf with the state of Missouri will still be available to our patients wanting a full service solution. 420ID will continue to offer a credit card style printed ID mailed to your home.
INCREASED PURCHASING POWER
Currently medical marijuana patients can purchase 4 ounces of marijuana each month. With the passage of amendment 3 this will be increased to 6 ounces with one physician’s recommendation.
420ID is excited to announce that we are now offering a 2nd physician recommendation as an upgrade option. This allows 420ID patients to be increased up to 16 ounces.
NEW CUSTODY AND EMPLOYMENT PROTECTION
One of the most exciting new provisions in amendment 3 is the addition of protections for those in the Missouri medical marijuana program. Unlike recreational use, parents concerned about custody are protected within the medical use program. In addition, medical patients who work at organizations that still have policies restricting recreational use may be given new protections. This is a major new advantage for medical patients!
